Reading to teenagers has great benefits but convincing them of this and getting them to agree to a reading aloud session is usually a challenge.. Most teenagers don't read as much as they should or as much as we would like them to. Some don't read at all, unless it's required reading for school. Many libraries also sponsor books clubs where teens can connect over books. Librarians can point you to lists of suggested titles published online. Some schools also publish suggested and/or required lists of books for summer reading. Go to the blogs. Teens want to read what their peers are reading.

The Mahabharata (I suggest you read the comic edition by Amar Chitra Katha, which is also the world’s longest comic book, as it has wonderful illustrations by Dilip Kadam.) 2. The Itch trilogy by Simon Mayo.

Early reading skills directly relates to a child's future academic success. The more you read, the better you are at it. This is a . But this book was the introduction to the fact that people that war isn't glorious, the enemy are real people just as scared as you, and lastly it's dangerous and whether you survive is largely dependent on luck. As far as I'm concerned, it should be required reading for any politician that wants to .

As a high school English teacher, I have to give assigned reading, although I tend toward excerpts and shorter works (short stories, poems, etc.) rather than full novels (the one exception is To Kill a Mockingbird with sophomores).

"To hear that the novel is 'immoral' has made me count the years between now andfor I have yet to come across a better example of doublethink.".
